It was the 10th Annual Gala for The Cassie Hines Shoes Cancer Foundation, and we, The Todd Everett Experience Mobile DJ Services, were so honored to be invited again as the DJs of this big event. We have been sponsors and DJs for this event for the past 7 years. This event is to support young adults managing a cancer diagnosis. We were even able to entertain the participants of this event and great cause virtually during the Covid-19 pandemic when it was unsafe and prohibited by law to gather in person during lockdown.
The event was held on March 3, 2023, at the Palazzo Grande in Shelby Township, Michigan. This was the second year the Palazzo Grande hosted this event due to the growing number of attendees. Previously, the Gala was held at Andiamo’s of Warren, MI. Due to the fas
t ticket sales and increased number of supporters, the foundation moved the event to a larger venue to give them more flexibility while accommodating there growing number of guest. One specific thing that we look forward to each year that makes the event even more special is the theme. This year’s theme was “The Greatest Show On Earth”. The uplighting and decor brought everything full circle in the large space filled with close to 750 people. Everyone was dressed to the tee. Some wore gowns and dresses of different colors and lengths to tie in with the circus theme and some wore tuxes and bow-ties from Wesner Tuxedo of Sterling Heights, MI.
This fundraising event was an elegant evening of dinner, cocktails, auctions, music and dancing. 3 entertainers from our Todd Everett Experience DJ Collective, which included DJ James O’steen, our husband and wife DJ duo (D&T) and Todd Everett himself, had the pleasure of working their magic on the crowd and watching a room full of happy people sing and dance from the very beginning to the very end. They navigated through of series of genres, including Pop, Classic Rock, R&B, Funk, Hip-Hop and Motown favorites, creating a fun atmosphere for people to dance, laugh, take Photo-booth pictures and experience a night that they will remember for a lifetime. It’s always great when people come together to support a great cause. It’s even better when they can let loose and have fun while doing it!
In conclusion, being a sponsor and the Mobile DJ Company for this fundraising event is not just about playing music and keeping the crowd entertained. It was about being a part of something bigger and contributing to a cause that can make a real difference in people’s lives. #WeAreTheParty”
