As a confident DJ, leader, speaker, and performer, Todd Everett can honestly look back at his humble beginnings and appreciate the progress that he has made. When he began his journey in Buffalo, New York as a DJ in the 90’s, he struggled with shyness, anxiety, and stage fright. At that time, he noticed a lot of DJs around the world using the same names. He wanted a name that held special value to him. He named himself DJ Chokes because his biggest fear as a DJ was choking in front of a crowd. He figured naming himself “Chokes” would be a unique way for him to embrace his fear as a DJ on a daily basis.
